Change Can Be Good!

Change Can Be Good!

Most people don’t like change.  One definition of the word “change” is: to take or use another instead of

This particular definition refers to the replacement of something you already have.  If you already have something, why change?  Maybe you’re unhappy with what you have or you want to replace what no longer meets your needs.  Changing from one to another may save you money or allow you to grow, but if you don’t like change, you may ignore the advantages with an excuse like “I’m just too busy.”

For most business owners, changing insurance providers is a low priority.  The invoice comes – you pay it – then you focus your energy on more pressing issues.  Perhaps your insurance agent has supported your business or state association for years and you trust that person.  So why change?  If this sounds familiar, keep your agent and ask them to get you a quote from SARRG so you can compare costs and coverages.  You will get better insurance coverage through a carrier specializing in your industry and at  a lower cost.  Best part of all, you do not have to change what really matters to you!

While we’re on the subject of change, we have an important one to share.  Effective July 1, 2016, Security America Risk Retention Group (SARRG) and Security America Risk Purchasing Group (SARPG) are no longer represented by OnPoint Underwriting or its staff – Richard Poling, Cheryl Jones, Whitney Balaun or Rebecca Mollman.

That being said, we are extremely pleased to announce that under the new banner of ESA Insurance Solutions, SARRG and SARPG have partnered with GDP Advisors and US Risk Underwriters.  This much needed change now allows us to provide numerous additional insurance products and, importantly, the level of customer service that our ESA members and policyholders deserve.

Those who attended ESX last month were introduced to the GDP team that includes John Powter, Seth Denson and Chris Bufkin.  They are insurance professionals who take great pride in offering insurance solutions and superior service.  Look for them at future chapter and ESA events, and let them exceed your expectations!

CLARIFICATION:  In the May/June issue of Security Nation, I wrote about our ability to issue an A-Rated policy.  To clarify, that policy would be offered through Security America Risk Purchasing Group, LLC (SARPG), a subsidiary of Security America Risk Retention Group, Inc. which is rated B++ by AM Best.  SARPG was formed to provide ESA members with an A-rated general liability and errors and omissions insurance when that rating was required.  The policies that are provided through SARPG are written directly by Lloyd’s of London which is an AM Best, A-rated surplus lines insurer.
